Been using AI for a minute for now, and do I love and hate it, yes, just so we are clear I am not really trying to pull a neutral party, it's not that kind of party and  definitely not ... honestly never mind.

 , was the origin of what we call today, a coding agent, or rather an employee. Oh Devin! what an embarrassing launch, reminds me when I was 6 years old, I shit my pants, definitely not a good look, I switched schools; I did notice the acquisition, let's get the diapers situation. Anyway, we still need to give props to coding agents, what a celebrity moment, every week there's either a new one or a new entry on the changelog, by the way I am also building one (shameless... nope ... fork it, have fun). With every model update I was sort off scared and I'll basically tell you why,

I was what the world would call nowadays a Javascript engineer, broke up with prototypes and chose a better babe Typescript, my love and basically every roster that's around it, be it React, Next, Vue...  trying to limit my words. I interacted with a lot of the 

vibe code your idea into a production app, 

yes I tried most of them (I won't plug them but one is v0.dev, bolt.new, jules.google.com), to be honest the company that hired me initially as a junior engineer would have made money on using this tech, makes sense why they retrenched, we got too expensive. Anyways, the reason I was scared was that this things could basically pull up any repo they got trained on, omg Github was the opposition before but I didn't know it was a King Von situation, just give to them, MIT licensed repos were preyed upon like models(not the code kind, humankind, just the other kind you are thinking of).



2025 has been crazy a lot has happened during this time period, that has been a bit scary, a bit comforting but majorly I've notice there's a shift that I really need to pick up on

Have you used Github before and got one of these Dependabot alerts, that mention a package, which in this case is in Sanity's studio lib is vulnereable to XSS attacks, but when you try to update the said package with the peer dependency, it exits with the package is up-to-date. This is a common issue in most packages, and if you try to update the peer dependency it either breaks the lib using it or it doesn't even update, trust me I have tried a couple of times to update that lib 😡.
